Today at Doctor’s Choice Pharmacy, I received a call from a patient who had just picked up her prescription.
“Rania, my doctor put me on low-dose naltrexone (LDN) for my autoimmune condition. I thought naltrexone was for addiction treatment—why this?”

I smiled. “That’s actually a very common question. In higher doses, naltrexone is used for opioid and alcohol dependence. But at low doses (typically 1.5 mg to 4.5 mg), it has a completely different effect.
